Obra II, Belén Farías "Manochueca"

Manochueca is the artistic identity of Uruguayan artist Belén Farías (Montevideo, 1994). Her practice channels drawing and illustration into an expanding cast of creatures and characters built from thick outlines, saturated color and simplified form. Moving between fine art, illustration and urban intervention, her work turns immediacy of line into a distinctive, unmistakable visual vocabulary.
